Window Installation

A quality window performs a number of important jobs - brightens an otherwise dark room by letting outside light in, keeps the elements outside. An egress window lets you out when you need to. A quality window keeps the comfortable air temperature inside and the uncomfortable air out. Let's be honest - a window is also a vulnerability to your home. A window is also much easier to break through than, for example, a wall. Therefore, a window must also keep you safe.

There are not enough words of praise I can give!!! On top of installing a window they did it quickly and on short notice, squeezing it in when they normally would have been done! He was super professional, helpful, and knowledgeable! Answering any questions we had about the install!

I had Doug and his company replace all the windows in our basement in our house. Our house was built in 1962 and the windows in the basement were original to the construction/single pane windows. One of our windows had broken in our downstairs bathroom. Matt was very professional, came over measured the windows and gave us a free quote. After the windows came in, they installed all of them in the course of one day. I am very impressed with the efficiency and quality of their work and now my basement is one of the best insulated areas in my house! It's amazing how much warmer it is downstairs now in the winter. I look forward to see how it will help with the AC in the summer as well. Thanks Doug & Chateau Window and Shower Enclosure. You did an amazing job.

Chateau replaced our 100yr old windows with Anderson windows and they are such a huge difference already! Like, we can actually open all our windows (historical house owners, you understand). Great communication and workmanship, we are beyond happy with the results! They are the best!

Replacement Windows

Whether your current windows are worn-out or you're just looking to upgrade them, we can help you with your window replacement. With the warmer climate, everyone's concerned about having a more efficient home and saving a little money. And, new energy efficient windows is part of that equation. We offer replacement vinyl and aluminum clad wood windows. Vinyl windows are great for those wanting a more economical, mostly maintenance free, and long lasting window. For those wanting a replacement window that's more warm and elegant, we offer aluminum clad wood windows. These windows are durable aluminum on the outside, and warm wood on the inside.

Vinyl Windows

There's a lot to like about new vinyl windows. For one, they're generally less expensive than aluminum clad wood windows. According to HomeAdvisor, the average cost, including materials and labor, to install a new vinyl window is between $200 and $1200. Compared to aluminum clad wood, expect to pay an additional $100 to $300 each. Cost is a common reason folks get vinyl windows.

Another big reason people vinyl windows is that they are low maintenance. They don't swell when they get wet. Because there's no metal, they don't rust or corrode. There's also no wood to rot. As a result, they often last longer. On average, you should expect 20-40 years out of a quality vinyl window from a reputable brand. Speaking of brands, we only offer name brands you already know, such as Milgard, Jeld Wen, and Pella. These are reputable brands that have been in business ranging from 50 years to almost 100 years.

Another nice thing about new vinyl windows is that they come pre-painted, which saves you time and money in either hiring a painter or painting them yourself. Paint colors such as black, white, tan, bronze, brown, silver and more.

New vinyl windows are also more energy efficient. This is because the vinyl itself doesn't conduct heat or cold. To make your vinyl windows even more energy efficient, most window manufacturers fill the space between double pane windows with argon gas. This gas is perfectly harmless and further improves the thermal performance of your windows by preventing heat transfer.

Aluminum Clad Wood Windows

Aluminum clad wood windows are a step up from vinyl. Although they are more expensive, once installed, you know exactly where your money went. With aluminum clad wood windows, you get the beauty, elegance, and warmth of wood on the inside of your home, and the durability of aluminum on the outside. The aluminum is corrosion resistant and stands-up to the elements, and comes in a wide variety of colors. Andersen's casement windows, for example, come in 50+ exterior colors. Those same casement windows come in 10 standard wood options, with custom options available, 9 factory-finished stain options, with custom stains available. If you prefer painted interior wood, Andersen offers 14 standard painted colors, and custom colors.

Aluminum clad wood windows are also energy efficient, since wood does not conduct heat or cold. Aluminum clad wood windows are the more 'green' windows since every piece is recyclable - the wood, the aluminum, and the glass. Of course, if your used aluminum clad wood windows are in good shape, more than likely you can take them to your local Habitat for Humanity reStore.

Basement Windows

When a lot of folks talk about 'basement windows', they mean hopper windows. Although hopper windows are an option, other types are available for your basement, such as awning, casement, gliding or sliding, and single or double-hung. Casement are your most secure window type. However they require more room, and maybe not be an option for you. With a free inspection from us, we will let you know. Sliding or gliding windows are the most popular given that at least one window in each room in your basement needs to be an egress window.
