Chateau did an amazing job for us. They replaced windows at two of our stores. One of the stores had a film on 3 of their windows that we have worked hours on trying to get the film removed. We asked if they could take a look at the windows and give us a suggestion on how we can remove the film. When they came to replace the broken window, their crew was able to remove the film off all 3 windows. Now it looks like we have 4 new windows. Thanks Chateau!!

Chateau replaced our 100yr old windows with Anderson windows and they are such a huge difference already! Like, we can actually open all our windows (historical house owners, you understand). Great communication and workmanship, we are beyond happy with the results! They are the best!

Why Vinyl Windows

There are many advantages to vinyl windows. For one, they can significantly save you money on heating and cooling costs. With a relatively high R-value, vinyl is a poor conductor of heat and cold (unlike aluminum) and this translates into excellent energy efficiency. Vinyl windows keep the heat in during winter and keeps it out during the summer. Properly installed, energy efficient, double pane vinyl windows can save you a lot of money. According to Realtor.com "The U.S. Department of Energy estimates that you'll save between $126 to $465 a year by replacing single-pane windows in your home. Already have double-pane windows? You can still reap savings by switching them out with energy-efficient ones, but far less. Plan on $27 to $111 per year."

Vinyl windows now come in a huge variety of designs, such as single and double hung, sliding, casement, pictures/fixed, awning, bay, and more. They also come in more colors than ever before, such as black, white, tan, ivory, brown, and more. This means you no longer have to paint them to match your primary or secondary home color. Chances are, they're already in a color that matches your existing color scheme. Built-in color makes vinyl windows resistant to scratching. In addition, they are highly resistant to corrosion, chipping, rotting and rusting. Vinyl windows do not need to be scraped or stained, and stand up well to normal climate and weather over time.

Perhaps the number one reason that vinyl windows are the most popular window frame is price. They run the gamut in price, from the cheapest on the market to mid range for premium, custom shaped windows. Whatever your budget, there is a vinyl window frame that suits your economic needs.

New vinyl windows are built to last. They last longer than aluminum, and often longer than wood. On average, you should expect 20-40 years out of a quality vinyl window from a reputable brand. They last so long because they are resistant to warping, swelling, corrosion, rust, and peeling. Their appearance also lasts longer than aluminum or wood. Aluminum-clad and wooden windows often get scratched or dinged, resulting in paint or stain touch-ups. With vinyl, it's not just painted - the vinyl itself is colored, so that color goes all the way through the material.

While wood windows are often cast as the environmentally friendly window frame choice, vinyl replacement windows use less energy and emits less greenhouse gases in production, and maximizes energy efficiency while in use.

Milgard offers 4 vinyl windows series. Pella is more limited. All Jeld-Wen vinyl windows are backed with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Pella warranties vary on product. We're happy to discuss our recommendation for your specific situation to ensure you're happy with your purchase.

Q. What's your turnaround time to install my new vinyl windows?

A. Actual window installation only takes a few hours on average for each window. However, from ordering to clean-up, it's about 4 weeks on average.

Q. Are vinyl windows really maintenance free?

A. No window is truly 100% maintenance free. However, vinyl comes the closest. That's because vinyl doesn't swell like wood. Cladded windows often require re-painting.
